Wills & Probate
Our Private Client Department works hard to provide you with first rate and easy to follow legal advice enabling you, as an individual, to deal with your affairs. We are pleased to be able to conduct meetings either in our office or in the comfort of your home.
Preparation of Wills
Everyone should consider making a Will.
The preparation of a Will can ensure that your estate is dealt with by a person of your choosing.
It would mean that the people that deal with your estate are clear about what your intentions are and do not have the additional distress of having to make such important decisions on your behalf.
If you do not have a Will, then the law dictates who inherits your estate.
Costs for the Preparation of a Will
For a simple straightforward Will our costs are as follows: -
- Single Will - £140 plus VAT
- Joint (mirror) Wills - £240 plus VAT
Where the Will would require more complex advice (such as non-standard trusts) to be drafted then our price would be quoted to you following a consultation.
Lasting Powers of Attorneys
Lasting Powers of Attorneys are a legal way of ensuring that someone else has the power to manage your affairs when it is difficult for you to do so. They allow you to appoint someone you trust to assist you rather than a Court making this decision for you.
There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney. One deals with health and welfare decisions, the other deals with your property and financial affairs.
We are able to assist you in ensuring that your Lasting Powers of Attorney are properly set up and registered.
