Mary started at the firm in 1999 and is the longest serving member of the team. She became a partner in the firm in 2006. Mary practices across two legal disciplines; crime and family law. Over the years Mary has been involved in some extremely high profile criminal cases, however has more recently focussed on developing her caseload of family work covering divorce and Children Act proceedings.

Alma Kirkman

Alma Kirkman

Alma has been in the legal profession for 25 years and qualified as a solicitor in 2000. She specialises in all areas of family work including divorces and dissolutions; cohabitation issues; family finances and child arrangements; separation and cohabitation agreements and change of name deeds. She is a member of Resolution and her approach is one of co-operation and conciliation.

Lisa has been a committed member of the Oslers team since 2003. She joined the firm from school and first qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive before becoming a fully qualified Duty Solicitor. As well as spearheading our Private Client Department she is also a confident Criminal Lawyer who prides herself on her client care skills and attention to detail in both areas of law ensuring her clients get the right result for them.

Tim started at Oslers in February 2017 whilst completing his studies at law school and completed his Training Contract at the firm in November 2019. He will specialise in Criminal Law and become a frequent attender at police stations and Magistrates' Courts, representing our clients' interests.

Charlotte Melia

Having passed her Business Administration Apprenticeship in December 2018, Charlotte has remained at the firm acting as a vital part of the administrative team working across both the Criminal and Family Departments.  Charlotte is now studying for a Level 3 qualification with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

Emma Hawksford

Emma supports the Cambridge Solicitors by ensuring the administrative side of things run smoothly.

Lillie Mann

Lillie is currently working part time in the criminal administrative department whilst studying criminology at Anglia Ruskin University.

James followed his degree with a Masters in Criminal law, joining the firm in 2003. Now a Partner he primarily manages all aspects of our work at the Police Station as well as representing clients at the Magistrates' Court.

Vicky is an Associate of the Institute of Legal Executives, an Accredited Police Station Representative and our Crown Court Clerk. On meeting Vicky, clients are left in no doubt that she is interested in them, their case and securing for them the best results possible. A very capable interface between the client and their barrister Vicky manages her cases with aplomb.

Abbie joined the firm in September 2019 having gained a Law Degree and has since completed the Legal Practice Course. She is currently studying for her Masters of Law whilst working in our Criminal Department.

With a wealth of experience that spans 40 years, Ray is a very highly regarded Family and Child Care Lawyer. Joining us from Silver Fitzgerald in February 2017, he has an excellent reputation as an advocate in the Courts of East Anglia, he puts emphasis on the thorough preparation of cases and prides himself with the care he offers clients.

Stephanie specialises in Child Care law and we are lucky to have her at Oslers, previously working at Silver Fitsgerald. She is an enthusiastic, committed and approachable solicitor, qualifying in 1999 and has been a member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel since 2005. Conducting her own advocacy wherever possible, she handles cases over a wide geographical area throughout East Anglia.

Melanie has joined the Child Care Department based at our Cambridge office after many years in criminal defence work. She brings with her many years of experience in dealing with sensitive and difficult cases from her time practising in criminal law. She represents clients who are going through care proceedings at any stage and can see parents at either the Cambridge or Stowmarket office.

Laura is a dedicated paralegal with a meticulous approach to case preparation. Working in the Child Care arena for over 17 years, previously with Silver Fitzgerald, she is able to assist clients in stressful situations with her calm and confident manner.

Jacki is one of the original team from Silver Fitzgerald, joining Oslers in February 2017. She is a qualified costs lawyer and responsible for costing and preparing bills within the firm.
